人々の運命を支配している北斗七星、九曜星、二十八宿のそれぞれの星を供養して、厄を除き、運を開き、福を招き、より健康に生活できますよう皆さまのお願い事を祈念するもので、新年を迎える12月の冬至、及び翌年２月の節分に相伝の星供秘法を厳修し、願主各位の厄除開運・除災招福をご祈祷したのち、お守り札を授与しております。節分、冬至共に14時より護摩堂にて行います。
In Japan, people pray to the Seven Big Dipper Stars, Nine Luminaries and 28 Moon Lodges, which are believed to control people’s destinies, to ward off misfortune, bring good luck and promote good health. At Shiromineji Temple, Hoshi Matsuri is held twice a year - on the winter solstice in December and setsubun (the day before the beginning of spring in the lunar calendar) in February - to pray for safety, prosperity and well-being, and protective amulets are given out. Prayers are held at Gomado at 2:00 pm on both the aforementioned days.
